Recruitment blog speak

For anyone with a blog or a corporate blog, Wordle is worth checking out. Wordle generates “word clouds” from text within the blog, with greater prominence given to words that appear more frequently. Below are some word clouds from a small selection of NZ and international recruitment-related blogs. It’s an interesting way to get a snapshot of the key themes of a blog.

    Hi, the word cloud we use on our blog (http://oraclerecruiter.blogspot.com) is a good way for people to see some of the themes and ideas expressed in our blog. Blogging is increasingly becoming a part of our Recruitment Strategy.

    Thanks;

    David Talamelli

    Hi paul,

    This is truly amazing concept.AS you say, It’s an interesting way to get a snapshot of the key themes of a blog. I screen captured the wordle and then opened it in Paint Shop Pro (you can use any program) I brought in the new image as a new layer and moved it to layer 1. I used the magic wand (the selection tool) to erase all the excess white space on the wordle. I also added special effects such as bevel, texture, and drop shadow. And saved it. Was really easy — honest.
